Pecha Kucha Night
Pecha Kucha Night (PKN) began in Tokyo in 2003 and is now hosted in cities around the world from Mumbai to Berlin to Sydney. As producers of Pecha Kucha Night Sydney we meet incredibly inspiring and talented people and get the chance to spread the word about their good work–designers, NGOs, scientists, film makers, photographers, teachers and architects who share their ideas, interpretations and discoveries with the audience. We have held events with the City of Sydney during the Sustainable Cities Conference and with Happy Talk at Art and About Sydney, but PKN’s regular home is with our friends at the Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation. At our most recent event, PKN #24, speakers included Paul Pholeros from Health Habitat; Greg Fisher from Our Big Kitchen, Leisa Tough from the University of Technology, Veena Sahajwalla from the SMaRT Lab, University of NSW and the animation film maker Su-An Ng.
